Ole Miss lands transfer guard Cullen Neal

The Ole Miss Rebels just missed making the NCAA Tournament earlier this year and they seem poised to get back in 2017. They have just landed a great player in guard Cullen Neal that will help their chances of getting back to the Big Dance.

Neal announced his intentions to transfer from New Mexico near the end of the 2015-16 season, but wanted to stay there until he obtained his degree. He will do that in just a few weeks and will play for the Rebels for his final year of eligibility.

This should be a big addition for the Rebels as they lose leading scorer Stefan Moody to graduation this year. Cullen Neal should help them pick up right where they left off.

The Rebels went 20-12 this season and fell to the Alabama Crimson Tide in their first round game of the SEC Tournament. This kept them out of the NCAA Tournament and the NIT.

Neal averaged 12.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds during the 2015-16 season for the Lobos.
