As the 2016 primaries continue to heat up, Donald Trump and the other candidates are hitting the campaign trail hard. That led to Trump making a campaign stop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ahead of the state’s primary in less than two weeks.
During the campaign stop, Trump did exactly what Donald Trump has been known to do by spouting off some bizarre comments about former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno.
Remember, Trump was in Pittsburgh. Not State College.
Regardless, Donald Trump felt that he has a beat on what the Pennsylvanians want.
Trump's interesting comment on Paterno: "I know a lot about Pennsylvania, & it’s great. How’s Joe Paterno? Are we going to bring that back?"

As is always the case, Trump’s team was quick to come out and clarify any comments.
Per a Trump spokeswoman, Trump simply meant that he wanted to see Penn State University go back to the glory days by reviving the bronze statue that was removed from campus.
Trump spokeswoman says "He was talking about the Penn State bronze statue that they melted down." https://t.co/JaItK1pP83

We’ll have to see if that one helps him in the polls.
