We have heard of rain delays, snow delays, lightning delays, and even sun delays. However, I bet this is the first time you have ever heard of a cat delay. That is exactly what the Lakeland Flying Tigers had Thursday night when a cat interrupted their game.
However, it was not just any cat, it was Henley the Eighth, a cat that resides at the stadium and is the eighth in a long line of cats living there.

From “Bring your dog to the park Day” to dugout poodles, there have been plenty of dog-themed activities in baseball in the past. It looks like this cat was fed up with it and wanted a chance to shine.
Rain delay, check; smashed lights from foul ball delay, check; cat on the field delay, check. Oh @MiLB… pic.twitter.com/47Q8gCrHPt

Apparently the cat had never really shown much interest in the sport before, but it looks like she wanted to come out and play.
