The Syracuse Orange made an unbelievable run to the Final Four as a No. 10 seed this year after many thought they didn’t deserve a spot in the NCAA Tournament. One of the main reasons for their success was freshman Malachi Richardson and they may have to be replacing him next season.
Head coach Jim Boeheim said that Richardson is going to enter his name to the NBA Draft. However, this doesn’t mean he will leave as he will not hire an agent as of right now.

Richardson later confirmed that news and Boeheim gave a statement on the situation, saying Richardson will be able to benefit from working out at NBA Draft camps in the coming weeks.

Richardson has the opportunity to test the waters for the draft in June and could end up pulling his name out and returning to school. He has until May 25 to make that decision.
During the 2015-16 season, Malachi Richardson scored 13.4 points and recorded 4.3 rebounds per game. His most notable performance was the comeback against Virginia in the Elite Eight where he scored a season-high 23 points and added on seven rebounds.
