NFL Draft 2016: Paxton Lynch to visit Bears on Tuesday

Could the Chicago Bears finally be close to finding Jay Cutler’s successor? We will find out in just over a week when the 2016 NFL Draft takes place and Memphis Tigers quarterback Paxton Lynch will certainly be a name to watch.

On Tuesday, the big armed passer is set to visit the Windy City, per NFL.com.

Lynch has been a very busy prospect in recent weeks, visiting with the Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.

After the Los Angeles Rams traded with the Tennessee Titans for the No. 1 overall pick, Lynch could hear his name called sooner than expected.

It is believed that the Rams will take Carson Wentz or Jared Goff with the top pick, making a quarterback-needy team potentially looking to the Memphis product sooner rather than later.

“I don’t know who [the Rams are] going to take, but I’ve heard (Jared) Goff or (Carson) Wentz like everyone else. But it benefits everybody,” Lynch said.

It will be interesting to see where Lynch ends.
