Carmelo Anthony absent from Phil Jackson’s triangle workshop

New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony has never been one to really follow rules and he has had a pretty rough go of things doing just that since his return to New York. It looks like the saga got a little more convoluted when he skipped a triangle offense workshop team president Phil Jackson held earlier this week.

The team, which will be led by new head coach Kurt Rambis into the future, was attending the workshop trying to perfect the offense. The New York Post reported that Anthony was not in attendance and was rehabbing an injury to his knee.

10 Knicks players, including rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis and second-year star Cleanthony Early, and Rambis attended the class, which was optional. This could be just a bit of news that people read too much into just because it involves Carmelo Anthony, who has made it public that he is not happy in New York.

Many will probably say that Anthony is not a team player, while others will support him if it comes out that he didn’t want to attend and instead went to a rehab session.

Whatever the case may be, something needs to get figured out soon before Anthony’s career starts to suffer even worse.
