Jack Conklin now predicted to be picked ahead of Ronnie Stanley

Throughout the 2016 NFL Draft season, Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin has been considered a late first-round pick. But in the past week, that has very much changed.

In recent times, Conklin has been moved up in the mock drafts of several, and is now projected to go ahead of Notre Dame tackle Ronnie Stanley. According to Mel Kiper and Todd McShay’s Mock Drafts, Conklin will be playing for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016.

Others believe he may go to the Tennessee Titans, who hold the No. 15 pick.

Overall, Conklin is a safe draft prospect, especially compared to some of the other options in this year’s draft. Though he is weak when it comes to power in the running game, Conklin can be counted on to be a solid pass protector, regardless of where he ends up this season.
