NFL Draft 2016: ‘99.99 percent sure’ Jared Goff goes to Rams

The 2016 NFL Draft is just a few days away and there is only one thing certain and that is two quarterbacks will be taken with the first two picks for the second year in a row. It certainly looks like the Los Angeles Rams, who traded with the Tennessee Titans for the top pick a little over a week ago, will be taking California native Jared Goff with the first pick.

Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reported Sunday morning that the Rams were told by the NFL to keep their number one pick quiet to not ruin the “drama” of draft day. However, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com responded to Volin saying that he is almost certain that the team will go with Goff and that the NFL already knows it.

There have been no official reports of who the Rams will actually take on Thursday, but it does seem more like they will select the former Cal Golden Bear. They have to make the decision between Jared Goff and North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz and whoever is left will likely get selected by the Philadelphia Eagles, who traded for the second pick last week.

It is certainly going to be interesting to watch this as it grows even more over the next few days. Whatever the case, you can watch it go down live on Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN and NFL Network.
