Tiger Woods registers for U.S. Open

Just about a month after Tiger Woods pulled out of the Masters Tournament, it looks like the legendary player will be healthy enough for the next major championship. Woods has registered for the U.S. Open and should be ready to go by the start of the tournament on June 16.

Woods has not won a major since winning the U.S. Open in 2008. He has been dealing with multiple injuries and surgeries since then and has fallen well out of the top World Golf Rankings, but Golfweek Magazine reported he had registered for the next major.

If Woods is indeed able to participate in the tournament in mid-June, it would be his first since August. He has been out of action due to two back surgeries.

This could be big news for the United States Golf Association and the PGA as Tiger Woods is always a big draw. No matter if he ends up missing the cut or riding a new-found wave of momentum all the way until the end.
