NFL Draft 2016: Su’a Cravens could go first round

There is no doubting that former USC linebacker and safety Su’a Cravens is one of the more interesting players in the 2016 NFL Draft. Right now, there are talks that he could end up getting drafted in the first round on Thursday.

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reported on Monday that after Cravens visited and worked out with multiple teams, he “is under consideration as a potential first-round draft pick.” He visited the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Detroit Lions.

He excelled very well in both linebacker and defensive back drills and reportedly caught the ball very well. He is still not sure of what position he will play in the NFL and has said that it depends on what kind of scheme he goes to runs.

No matter where plays in the NFL, Su’a Cravens should he excel at either position. He recorded 207 tackles, 34.5 for loss, 10.5 sacks, nine interceptions and 16 pass deflections during his career with the Trojans.

If Cravens’s name is called on Thursday, there probably won’t be a lot of people surprised at what he is able to do at the next level.
