The Tennessee Titans have already made one of the biggest moves of the 2016 NFL Draft when they traded the number one overall pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for six draft picks. Now it looks like they could moving back up before the draft begins.
SI.com’s Peter King reported on his site Monday Morning Quarterback ten different things he has heard from around the league. He said that the three trades in the top ten might not be the last ones fans see before the Los Angeles Rams go on the clock.
“I expect Tennessee GM Jon Robinson (at 15), who already has been on the phone in the top 10 assessing his chance to move up for a tackle, to be active today,” King wrote.
The Titans are still pretty set on drafting an offensive tackle in the first round and would love to have a shot at either Laremy Tunsil or Ronnie Stanley and they would have to move up into the top ten to do so.
Tennessee might be looking into trading back into the top ten, but King reported that they aren’t the only ones.
“I expect Miami (at 13) to try to move up for Ezekiel Elliott if the Cowboys don’t take him. And I expect Jacksonville (at 5) and Cleveland (at 8) to aggressively try to move down.”
The draft is just a few hours away and there is sure to be some interesting developments throughout the first round. Be sure to check out the first round on ESPN and NFL Network at 8 p.m. EST.
