Syracuse lands Colorado State transfer John Gillon

The Syracuse Orange surprised everyone last season when they advanced to the Final Four as a No. 10 seed. They will now be looking to compete in the ACC in the 2016-17 season and should be able to do that after landing Colorado State transfer John Gillon.

Gillon spent two seasons with the Rams and decided to transfer for his final season of eligibility this fall. His decision came down to Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Syracuse, but he ultimately chose the Orange.

John Gillon should be eligible to play immediately for the Orange as he will be a graduate transfer. He played the 2012-13 season with Arkansas-Little Rock before transferring to Colorado State.

Last season, he averaged 13.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game for the Rams. He should be a great addition for the Orange going into what could be Jim Boeheim’s final season.
