Boise State assistant Jeff Linder accepts Northern Colorado offer

Jeff Linder, who has spent his past six seasons coaching Boise State basketball, is now moving on to Northern Colorado.

Linder was recently offered a head coaching position at UNC, and has now accepted it. The new head coach will take the spot of B.J. Hill, who lost his job due to allegedly violating NCAA policies.

In going to Northern Colorado, Linder will also be going back home. The state of Colorado is where Linder grew up and realized his passion for the game of basketball. In Colorado, Linder played high school basketball in the Lafayette area, and went on to play at the college level at both Mesa State and Western Colorado State. He also began coaching in Colorado with Colorado head coach Ricardo Patton as his mentor.

At Northern Colorado, the previous coach had a losing record of 86-98 in six seasons. Linder is hoping to change that for the team when he is at the helm.

In reference to his new position, Linder stated, “I look forward to returning home to the state of Colorado and continuing to build this program into something everyone can be proud of.”
