Former Michigan State star Keith Appling arrested for possession of loaded AK-47

Former Michigan State basketball star Keith Appling was a big part of the Spartans’ program from 2010-2014 and has been playing in the D-Leauge ever since he graduated. Unfortunately, he has been picked up for pretty serious charge and it could affect his future in the NBA.

According to WXYZ’s Justin Rose, Appling was arrested in a Dearborn, Michigan strip club for possession of a loaded firearm. That firearm was an AK-47, which could land him a felony charge.

Currently, police are still investigating the incident as there were no details of exactly what his intentions with the gun were.

During his career with the Spartans, Keith Appling averaged 10.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He went undrafted in 2014, but has been playing for the Erie BayHawks since then.
