Su’a Cravens will wear No. 36 to honor Sean Taylor

New Washington Redskins safety/linebacker Su’a Cravens is expected to be a major piece on the team’s defense over the next few years and he will do so with a legendary number on his back. He wore No. 21 while in college and will make the switch to No. 36, worn by former great Sean Taylor.

Taylor played for the Redskins for four seasons before being tragically murdered at his home in Miami. Cravens took to Twitter and made sure to let the Redskins and Taylor’s family know that he would wear the number with pride.

It is unclear of what Su’a Cravens will play at the next level as he can move all over the field and play both safety and outside linebacker. Whatever the case may be, he will be a huge piece for the team going forward and must be special if he has been given Taylor’s number.

One reason he wore No. 21 at USC was because of Taylor, so it is fitting that he goes to play for the team of one of his favorite players.
