UCLA star Ishmael Adams avoids jail time for Uber attack

UCLA Bruins star Ishmael Adams has finally received his punishment for an August incident where he was allegedly “drunk and belligerent” before attacking an Uber driver.

According to TMZ Sports, Adams agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors.

In exchange for pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery, Adams received three years of probation. There is no word on whether Adams will receive further punishment from the UCLA football program as a result of his new plea deal.

If he does not, Adams could be in for an impressive season on the field.

After spending the early part of his career with the Bruins playing defensive back, Adams is making the transition to wide receiver for the 2016 college football season. Early indications are that Adams is making a smooth transition, so he could be one of the Pac-12’s breakout offensive players this season.
