Brandone Francis-Ramirez transferring from Florida

After two seasons in Gainesville, the Florida Gators men’s basketball program has announced Brandone Francis-Ramirez will be transferring from the team.

Francis-Ramirez really never found his footing with the program, after things got off to a rocky start due to academic issues. Francis-Ramirez was academically ineligible for the 2014-15 season, before returning last year.

When Francis-Ramirez finally got the chance to take the court, he struggled to find his shot; he finished last season with a putrid 20.2 field goal percentage.

If there is anything positive for Francis-Ramirez to take from his experience in Gainesville, it is that he leaves the program the respect and support of the team’s head coach.

“I want it to work out for him,” Gators coach Mike White said in the press release, via NBC Sports. “We really appreciate what Brandone did here and wish him the best.”
