Duke, Cincinnati headline Hall of Fame Tip-Off field

The 2016-17 college basketball season is still a few months away, but that does not mean it is too early to look ahead to everything that is slated to happen. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off is just one of the many early season tournaments and at least two big name teams will be in attendance for the event.

The field was released with the 2015 national champion Duke Blue Devils and the Cincinnati Bearcats, who many believe will be a contender in the AAC this year, both headlining the field.

The tournament takes place November 19 and 20 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The eight teams, which have been split into to two four-team brackets, will play in two double-headers at the arena. Rhode Island, Penn State, Grand Canyon, Albany, Marist and Brown are all included in the field as well.

Duke, Cincinnati, Penn State and Rhode Island will meet in the Naismith Bracket, while the others will play in the Springfield Bracket. Early round games will take place at campus sites from November 11 through November 16.
