UFC 200 in July is one of the biggest fight cards in a long time for the UFC, but just a few short weeks later UFC 201 is set to take place and having the UFC welterweight champion headline the event might not be a bad idea.
“UFC Tonight” reported welterweight champion Robbie Lawler vs. No. 3-ranked contender Tyron Woodley is currently targeted for the event in Atlanta.
Nothing has been made official yet, but it looks like Lawler could be looking to make his third straight defense at the event on July 30.
Lawler previously defended the belt against Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit, whom he defeated by split decision at UFC 195 in January.
There is no telling of if this fight will happen or if it will event headline UFC 201, but it does look like the fight is going to happen sooner rather than later.
