Laremy Tunsil, Dolphins agree to rookie deal

It is a good day for first round picks. As rookie minicamps get set to begin, teams around the league are beginning to sign 2016 NFL Draft picks to their rookie deals.

The latest player to reach an agreement with his team is former Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the No. 13 overall pick after an ill-timed video surfaced on his social media account just as the draft was set to kickoff.

Miami announced Tunsil’s rookie deal on Friday.

Like is the case with all first round picks, Tunsil signed a four-year contract with a fifth-year team option. Financial terms of the deal was not disclosed.

Now that his rookie deal is signed, Tunsil can turn his focus towards showing teams why they made a mistake by passing on him last month.
