Vernon Hargreaves III, Buccaneers agree to rookie deal

Another first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft has signed his rookie deal. On Friday morning, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Vernon Hargreaves III, the team’s No. 11 overall pick, has agreed to terms on his rookie contract.

Per usual, Hargreaves contract is a four-year deal with a fifth-year team option.

Hargreaves becomes the third member of the Buccaneers’ 2016 rookie class to sign his contract, joining fourth-round defensive back Ryan Smith and fifth-round offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch.

Hargreaves’ deal comes just in time for the start of rookie minicamp on Friday.

The remaining unsigned rookies are defensive end Noah Spence, kicker Robert Aguayo, linebacker Devante Bond and fullback Danny Vitale.
