Darron Lee tackled someone in Jets’ non-contact drills

It seems like New York Jets linebacker Darron Lee is too ready to get back to the field to make some plays this year. This was apparent on Friday when his team took the field for OTAs.

According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, Lee actually tackled one of his teammates during practice.

The only thing about the drill was that it was one of the team’s many non-contact drills and he was called over to have a chat with head coach Todd Bowles.

Darron Lee responded to the report and seemed to be pretty entertained with what he did.

I am sure Bowles appreciates Lee’s enthuiasm to hit somebody, but it will probably have to wait until the fall. At least he seems ready to make plays when he actually takes the field later this year.
