If Bernard Pierce or Jace Davis want to find jobs in the NFL this year, they may have to wait a few weeks into the season. That is because the two free agents have been suspended for undisclosed reasons.
Pierce was released from his contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars at the end of the 2015 season and has yet to sign elsewhere. Davis signed a contract with the Denver Broncos for the 2016 season, but has since been waived.
It was announced that Davis, a wide receiver, has been suspended for four games, while Pierce, a running back, has been suspended for two.
Bernard Pierce played with the Jaguars last year after spending three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, scoring five touchdowns in his career. He was released after he was arrested for DUI last March, for which he cut a plea deal.
Davis has yet to play in a NFL game in his young career.
