Before the 2015 college football season, former Notre Dame Fighting Irish Greg Bryant was ruled academically ineligible. He decided to leave the school and joined junior college ASA Miami before committing to the returning UAB football program in November.
Bryant was looking to take the field for the Blazers in the 2017 season, when the program officially returns, however, he will have another battle before that.
According to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman, Bryant was shot in Florida late Friday night and is currently in critical condition.

Greg Bryant was hoping to continue his last two years of eligibility starting in the 2017 season, but he will have to win this battle first. During his first two years at Notre Dame, Bryant rushed for just over 300 yards and three touchdowns.
Campus Sports would like to wish their well wishes to Bryant and hope he makes a quick and full recovery.
