Top five players in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came into the NFL as one of the expansion teams in the mid-1970s. After three years of absolute obscurity, including an 0-14 record their first year in the league, the team was playing for a spot in the Super Bowl in 1979.

While they didn’t turn that into  a ton of success over the next two decades, when they got back to the conference championship game in 1999 and fell short, they have had their fair share of great players. They have certainly had some iconic names to play for them, but never were able to produce a lot on the football field itself.

Let’s count down the top five players in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history.

Caleb is a young veteran of the sports journalism world that has a passion for college football, mostly the SEC, but namely the LSU Tigers. He has experience working in print and online media as well as broadcasting, working with his high school alma mater football team and the Savannah Bananas.
