Shane Battier, Grant Hill headline 2016 Duke Athletics Hall of Fame class

There have been some pretty great players to come out of Duke in the team’s storied history and two of them are going to be honored very soon. Both Shane Battier and Grant Hill will be inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame later this year.

The Blue Devils made the special announcements on their Instagram page Tuesday morning. They are a part of the 2016 class that includes five other inductees, including former coach Dan Brooks.

Both men are more than worthy of their spot in the Hall of Fame. Both of them played for four years with the Blue Devils and helped them to a ton of success.

Shane Battier averaged 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game during his career. He joins former teammate Jay Williams in the Hall of Fame.

Grant Hill averaged 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game during his career and helped the team to two national championships. He joins former teammates Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley.
