In recent days, there has been growing conversation about the potential expansion of the Big 12 conference. On Thursday, Oklahoma president David Boren made it clear that there will be a number of potential suitors if the conference does decide to add a handful of programs.
According to Boren, who strongly favors expansion, there are “25 schools” showing interest in joining the Big 12.
Boren says he’s received materials form 25 schools regarding expansion. “There’s a lot of interest in this conference."

With so many teams interested, there could be some surprising teams.
We have already heard a handful of teams wishing to be considered for the Big 12, like UConn, Memphis, SMU and others, so it will be interesting to see which schools — if any — ultimately end up joining the conference.
