PAC-12 stars Adoree Jackson, Devon Allen shine at track championships

It is not unusual to see college football stars participate in track and field events and USC wide receiver Adoree Jackson and Oregon wide receiver Devon Allen are not different.

They both competed at the conference championship meet this weekend and both represented their schools well.

Jackson, who was excused from the Trojans’ spring practices to focus on track, won the long jump event with an impressive measurement of 25-3.5. This is the second year in a row the sophomore has won the conference title in this event.

Adoree Jackson also finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.44, which could be good enough to help him earn a spot at the US Olympic Trials later this year. Allen also starred in that race, finishing third with a 10.48.

On Saturday, Allen also won the 110-meter dash and 200-meter dash. He helped the Ducks finish third in the 4×100 relay by running the second leg. He was named male athlete of the meet by helping Oregon win their eighth straight team title, their 11th in the last twelve years.
