Rob Gronkowski says he’s misunderstood and he hates the taste of beer

Rob Gronkowski is one of the most notorious party boys in the NFL, but everyone seems to love him. However, the frat boy image that the New England Patriots star tight end gives off may not be who he really is.

Well, that’s what Gronkowski says at least.

In a recent interview with GQ, Gronkowski discussed his party boy reputation and said that people misunderstand him as a person. While he may enjoy some drinks during the offseason, Gronk is all business when the NFL season rolls around.

“People misunderstand who I truly am,” Gronkowski told GQ’s Devin Friedman. “Truly who I am. If I go somewhere, people just think I’m a party boy 24/7. Like, it’s a Monday night and I walk into a restaurant and people start handing me shots. I’m like, ‘Yo, I’m in season right now. I just played a game, I can hardly walk.'”

Yo, he has a bit of a point.

But before Gronk convinces you that he’s really a choir boy who just has a drink from time to time, check out this comment.

“I don’t drink because I like the taste,” Gronkowski said. “Beer is nasty. I would never sit there and have a beer with dinner – it would ruin my whole meal. I drink to have fun, to feel good, to get tipsy. But my drink of choice is vodka and water.”

Well, there you have it.

Rob Gronkowski, the misunderstand party boy according to him, just drinks to get drunk and have fun. Where is the harm in that?
