Floor panels from Kobe Bryant’s final game go for $179,100

Per the NBA’s auction website, a portion of the floor paneling from Kobe Bryant’s swan song at the Staples Center was just sold for 179,100 dollars at a recent auction.

The piece the lucky bidder received was autographed by Bryant himself after the game in mid-April where he scored a grand total of 60 points, the most points ever scored by a player in their final regular season game.

The panels were also divided into a total of four equal sections. Each section measured four feet by eight feet each. On the panels is a big number eight, made special for the last contest of the basketball legend’s 20-year time with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The auction was for good cause, and profits made went to aid the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation. The organization will use these funds to further their efforts to educate less fortunate children, as well as provide sports and health resources.
