RB Jarvis Cooper transfers from Memphis after getting tattoo

The Memphis Tigers took a big hit on Tuesday when running back Jarvis Cooper decided to transfer from the program. Not only is this strange because he is one of their more productive players, but he also just recently got a tattoo representing the Tigers.

The tattoo is one of himself in a full Memphis uniform right on his chest, so it is hard for Cooper to hide what it really is. It is certainly going to be awkward if he does not get it covered up before beginning his career with a new team.

There is not much else to say about that other than: “Oops.”

But, when it comes to Jarvis Cooper’s production on the field, the Tigers will surely miss him. The rising junior was second on the team with 389 rushing yards and five touchdowns last season and totaled 767 yards and nine touchdowns on 166 carries in two years.

Cooper would have to sit out the 2016 season if he stayed at the FBS level, but luckily still has his redshirt to use. He will have two years of eligibility remaining no matter where he ends up.
