The Minnesota Vikings selected Laquon Treadwell, arguably the most athletic wide receiver in the draft, with their first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft just a few weeks ago.
One player that seems very excited for Treadwell is the man that will be throwing to him: quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
Treadwell has only been with the team for a few days and he already seems to be shaping up as Bridgewater’s favorite target going forward. The third-year quarterback talked about how the former Ole Miss receiver has already been impressive for them.
“He’s going to be big for this team,” Bridgewater told Vikings.com. “There’s a reason that we drafted him in the first round.
“He’s been here with us for two days now, and he’s been looking good. I’m not qualified to judge players and things like that, but from what I’ve been seeing, I’ve been pretty impressed.”
Laquon Treadwell comes to the Vikings after going for nearly 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns during his career with the Rebels. It certainly looks like he could be a part of something special for the Vikings in the very near future.
