At Indiana’s Memorial Stadium, an entirely new turf is being installed – and it isn’t your typical field turf. The new and improved Hoosiers’ field will be multi-colored for the 2016 college football season.
The field features a new shade of green for every five yards of field.
The renovation appears to be moving along on time, and turning out just as the team had hoped. The Indiana Hoosiers’ official football account shared an image of the field during the turf installation Thursday morning.

I’ll admit that this is pretty cool, Indiana, but no one will ever be able to top Boise State’s all blue field.
The Hoosiers will be playing their first game of the season at the Sept.Ā 1st season-opener, when they take on the Florida International University Panthers. They will finally play on their snazzy new home turf when they play the Ball State Cardinals on September 10.
