Video: Idaho State runner completes race despite rupturing achilles tendon

Any runner who has ever dealt with the issue knows that an injured achilles tendon is one of the most painful experiences one can have. Recently, an Idaho State runner named Shelby Erdahl managed to finish a race with a ruptured achilles tendon.

She did finish dead last place in her incredible performance, but the fact that she completed it speaks volumes about her dedication to her team.

Erdahl knew that all she needed to score a point for her group at the Big Sky Championships was to complete the 400-meter hurdles. She did just that, running most of the race with the achilles tendon tear that she sustained early on in the contests. Despite the pain, Erdahl pressed on, clearing every last hurdle to complete the race.

Since, a video of Erdahl finishing out the competition has gone viral.
