NFL officials undergoing physical testing for 2016 season

Who said being an NFL referee is easy? You have to make game-changing decisions in the blink of an eye, all while watching the top athletes in the world competing at full speed. You also have to be willing to keep up with those athletes for three hours.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that NFL officials are required to undergo yearly testing.

This weekend, NFL officials are gathering in New York for the yearly physical testing, which actually seems to be far more grueling than you’d believe.

For example, referees must run 13 40-yard dashes while taking only 35 seconds in between attempts.

We can only hope there will be videos to come out from the testing sessions with so many eager refs ready.
