WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, who has assumed the character of “Stardust” in recent years, has asked the company for his release. Rhodes took to Twitter on Saturday morning to share the news from his personal account.

While Rhodes made the announcement, he provided few details but noted he would be sharing more information on his decision soon.

Rhodes, a former Intercontinental Champion and tag team title holder, had been with the company for a decade.

Rhodes is the son of “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, one of the true legends in World Wrestling Entertainment. His brother, Dustin, performs in the ring under the persona of “Goldust” and his wife is a WWE ring announcer.

While Cody Rhodes is looking to move on, his family will always have strong ties to the world of professional wrestling.
