JR Smith says he learned his fadeaway threes from video games

Cleveland Cavaliers guard JR Smith is a lot of things, but regardless of what you feel about him, you have to admit he is a very exciting player when he steps onto the court. Smith is fearless and is willing to launch the ball from anywhere on the court.

If he gets hot, there can be no reaction other than frustration as he knocks down the seemingly impossible shocks.

But where did Smith learn the trademark fadeaway threes he has fallen in love with throughout his career? We finally got our answer to that question during a recent press conference.

Cavs star LeBron James was listing off some of his influences, when JR Smith revealed his inspiration from fadeaway threes comes from video games, specifically NBA 2K.

It all makes so much sense now.

Never change, JR.
