Former NBA player Etan Thomas accuses woman of racism over train seat

Former NBA player Etan Thomas experienced what many will believe to be a big bit of racism last week. Thomas took to Facebook and called out a woman he accused of not wanting him to sit next to her.

He claimed, in a Facebook post that has since gone viral, that he “politely” asked the woman if he could sit next to her. She claimed that someone was sitting next to her, but moved her stuff for a white man, that she didn’t seem to know, just minutes later.

She claimed that he was illegally taking her picture and that she would tell the conductor. That was when the conductor chatted up the former Syracuse and Washington Wizards star and said that the New York Knicks could use a player like him.

I guess that is what this woman gets for being ignorant. Etan Thomas, whose 11-year career came to an end in 2011, has seen his post get more than 150,000 likes and nearly 40,000 shares.
