LeBron James will pay Dahntay Jones’ fine for low-blowing Bismack Biyombo

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Dahntay Jones was suspended for one game after he hit Bismack Biyombo in the groin during Saturday’s game against the Toronto Raptors. He was also given a small fine for the incident, but LeBron James is stepping up to help his teammate.

James spoke with Cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon that he would pay his teammate’s fine, which equals up to about $80. Jones signed with the Cavaliers ahead of the team’s season finale and was paid $8,800 for doing so.

James is paying the fine likely because he saw Jones’s actions, whether intentional or not, was in defense of him. Jones’s absence in tonight’s Game 4 could end up making a huge difference as the Raptors look to even the series at two games apiece.

No matter what people may think about LeBron James, he certainly seems to care about his teammates and will help them out in any situation.
