Peyton Manning’s career has come to an end and it is unclear what he is going to do next. In the last few years, he took the Denver Broncos to two Super Bowls and one championship, but he wasn’t almost a member of the Mile High City club.
It was no secret that Bud Adams, the late owner of the Tennessee Titans, wanted to bring in the former Volunteer quarterback when he was a free agent after being released by the Indianapolis Colts in 2012.
Manning revisited that subject earlier this week.
“I was pretty close,” Manning said the Middle Tennessee Sports Awards in Nashville Thursday night.
Manning’s decision to go to the Broncos was one that cost former Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt his job following the 2012 season. It makes you wonder exactly what could have happened with what the team is today with Marcus Mariota leading the team.
