Ex-UConn commit Zach Brown arrested on burglary charges

The whirlwind that has been the recruiting process of 7-foot-1 center Zach Brown, who initially committed to play for the Connecticut Huskies, has taken another unexpected turn.

According to reports from CBS Miami, Brown was arrested on a series of charges stemming from a burglary.

Brown received $25,000 bail and was charged with two counts of robbery by sudden snatching, one count of armed robbery and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card totaling more than $100.

Now, his future is in doubt.

Brown and UConn initially parted ways after the center left Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut for getting into a fight with another player. He initially went to school in his hometown of Miami at Miami Beach High School.

Hopefully Brown will be able to get his head right and get his career back on track before it’s too late.
