You probably cannot go an entire year without hearing an SEC fan brag about how great their conference is and then hearing another conference’s fan say they don’t play good enough competition. Well, Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema has an interesting proposal to change all that.
There is always a cross-conference challenge of some sort in college basketball every year. At the SEC spring meetings on Tuesday, Bielema proposed having a SEC/ACC or SEC/Big Ten challenge in the coming years.

The challenge would pit the teams with certain records from one conference against teams from another conference. This year, the challenge would pit Alabama against Michigan in the Big House and Ohio State against LSU in Death Valley.
I usually don’t agree with the things Bret Bielema has to say, but I find it hard to disagree wanting to see some of the top teams in the country face off in the regular season.
