The music world is still feeling the ramifications of losing one of its biggest legends when Prince tragically passed away a little over a month ago. The Columbia Fireflies, the New York Mets’ farm team, are going to honor the fallen music legend with some pretty amazing jerseys next week.
The team is holding a Prince tribute night on June 9 and it will feature everything from a pregame performance from a tribute band and purple fireworks. But the coolest thing they announced are the amazing jerseys that give a nod to the megastar.

That is pretty amazing for the Fireflies to do something like this. What is even better is that Prince has a pretty good connection with the city of Columbia as he donated $250,000 to a local children’s charity in 2011.
