The Green Bay Packers fell to the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs last season on a 75-yard overtime reception by Larry Fitzgerald. Cornerback Damarious Randall still can’t get over the fact that he probably cost his team the game.
Randall had a pretty good rookie season with the Packers, but it ended in disaster with that big play in overtime. He still says that he puts that play on himself.
“I put that play on myself,” Randall said. “I take 100 percent blame for it.”
However, he later went on to say that he can’t dwell on the play and that he is going to have to just move past the play.
“It was just a mistake that was made,” Randall said. “That’s football. . . . I just know that I’m going to make a lot more plays than I give up for the Green Bay Packers.”
During the 2015 season, Damarious Randall recorded three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, and 14 pass deflections. He is certainly has a bright future in the NFL and he will more than likely be able to move past his one mistake.
