Minnesota wrestling coach J Robinson placed on administrative leave

The University of Minnesota has placed wrestling coach J Robinson on administrative leave in the midst of a drug scandal surrounding the program. Four members of the wrestling team are under investigation for the sale and use of prescription drugs.

Per FOX 9, at least 14 wrestlers are linked to the scandal which involves Xanax.

“As the University begins its own investigation of the allegations made regarding the wrestling program, I have placed Head Coach J Robinson on paid administrative leave pending the conclusion of the investigation,” Gophers athletics director Mark Coycle said in a statement to FOX 9.

“While details of the investigation cannot be shared, the allegations made against the program are serious and after consulting with President Kaler I delivered this news to J early this morning.”
