After withdrawing his name from consideration for the 2016 NBA Draft, Malik Newman announced his intentions to transfer from Mississippi State. It hasn’t taken long to identify his potential new home.
According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Newman will be making visits to Kansas and North Carolina State.
Newman averaged 11.3 points per game during his one year in Starksville.
As one of the top players in his recruiting class, Newman will be a major get for whichever program ultimately lands him. After making his decision, Newman will be forced to sit out one year to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.
