Michigan lands 2017 4-star DE Corey Malone-Hatcher

The Michigan Wolverines football program landed a big time commitment on Thursday, with four-star defensive end Corey Malone-Hatcher announcing he would be committing to Jim Harbaugh’s program.

Malone-Hatcher is a standout defender from Saint Joseph, Michigan, who also held offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama and Notre Dame.

“Michigan is excellence,” he said, via the Detroit Free Press. “They have the whole package, and it’s a great fit for me. Academically they are superior to almost any school in the country and have put themselves in a position to win a national championship on the field in the future. It’s a combination that I can’t and couldn’t say no to.”

The Wolverines currently have one of the top ten-ranked classes for 2017, so Harbaugh’s innovative recruiting tactics are clearly working.

No wonder some of his rivals are getting upset.
