Retired Boston College LB Christian Lezzer transfers to UCF

During the 2015 season, Boston College linebacker Christian Lezzer opted to walk away from the sport after suffering his fifth concussion. However, he has decided to continue his career, just with a different program.

Lezzer took to Twitter and confirmed that he had accepted a scholarship at Central Florida and would be transferring to play with the Knights into the future.

Christian Lezzer played in the first three games of the 2015 season before deciding to step away from the sport. This means he would have to sit out the 2016 season, but would have two years of eligibility left starting in 2017.

However, the linebacker could end up gaining a third year back on a medical hardship waiver.

He joined the Eagles as a three-star member of their 2014 class and played in eight games as a true freshman.
