The Rock would consider running for president

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most recognizable faces in both Hollywood and the sport of professional wrestling today. It looks like he has thrown his name in the hat for the 2020 presidential race.

With names like Kanye West and Mark Cuban already possibly running for the seat in four years, it should not come as a surprise that the 10-time World Champion is considering running as well. He has already dominated the world of sports and acting, so he thought he may try his hand at politics.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out,” The Rock said in a recent British GQ interview. “I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”

I mean, if billionaire Donald Trump is a serious candidate for the presidency this year, then I don’t see why a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who told everyone that he loves “pie,” wouldn’t have a legitimate shot at it either.

I just hope he chooses “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as his running mate.
