The 2016 Heisman Trophy won’t be handed out for another six months, but it is never too early to look at some of the best players in the country. There are a number of players that could make a move to the top of the leaderboard before season’s end.
Most of the top players in the country are running backs and quarterbacks, but they all play a much different role in each of their teams. A number of the top candidates from the 2015 race return this year and are ready to claim the crown as the country’s top player.
